About The Podcast

Why Another Podcast?

I understand that your time is important.  I know that there are a ton of podcasts out there dealing with topics of Christian apologetics.  I don’t want this podcast to replace any of the podcasts that you currently watch and I want to keep the topics clear and easy to understand.

I want to have episodes that make the viewers think about truth in ways that showcase the practicality and well informed reasoning that is the foundation of the Christian worldview.  Like many Christians, I am one who says, “If only people knew what I know, then they would be Christians too!”  I believe that every person’s inability to escape truth (as much as they may try) gives us a common ground with which to start a conversation.  Instead of a podcast that just tears down people on the other side of the culture gap, I want to have episodes that build up Christians to reach the other side for good.  The goal of this podcast is to equip and encourage Christians to share truth with others in a way that may have eternity altering effects.

Who Is This Terence Fella?

I have been a Christian for more than 30 years.  The world has changed a lot in those 30 years, am I right?  As I see our western culture plunge into not only atheistic ideologies, but to outright anti-Christian, I feel that the ‘powers that be’ are not giving the Christian worldview the opportunity that it deserves.  Christianity is treated as if there were no truths behind what we believe, but only blind faith.  Having studied as much about Christian apologetics as I have, and having read books that support the idea that Christianity and science can coexist, I cannot stand idle and allow the deception to continue.

I believe that truth wins every time when it is given a fair chance, and I want truth to have its day.  I believe that the Author of Truth is the God of the Bible.  I also believe that His truth extends beyond the written word and into every realm of His creation.  We need to encourage the world to not run from truth, but to run straight towards it.  I want to create content that encourages and equips Christians to do just that; to share truth with the world.

What Can I Do?

I want to equip Christians and encourage them to action.  Sounds easy enough.  It may seem easy to talk with a non-believer after you’ve just watched an inspiring podcast, but in actuality, some teamwork and practice might be a better way to start.  I encourage viewers to really think about how a dialogue with a non-believer might work itself out.  I also encourage viewers to think about the pushback they may receive when trying to present concepts of truth.

Consider talking with your friends about some of the topics discussed in these episodes, and also try some mock conversations in order to prepare yourself for various scenarios in the different directions that these dialogues may go.  And lastly, contact me with any questions or ideas.  And if you have a successful encounter sharing truth with someone within your sphere of influence, please share that with me, as well.  I would love to get positive feedback and possibly share the encouraging words with others, either on the website or in an episode.

Why Does Truth Matter?

Truth matters because it is something that the world can’t ignore.  Some people want to have their own personal truth, which is useless unless it matches up with the real truth.  Wanting your own truth is just a way to avoid the issues.  If real truth exists, then ignoring it is dangerous; for yourself and for your loved ones.  If we Christians know a truth that can keep someone from harm or lead them to the Author of Truth, is it right for us to keep that information to ourselves?

Somehow the western world has adopted this idea that real truth is in the naturalistic worldview and that real truth is nowhere to be found in the Christian worldview.  This idea is completely the reverse of reality.  Because of these preconceived ideas, people don’t usually go to their Christian friends and acquaintances for answers.  I believe that it is time for us Christians to present truth and speak about it with confidence and knowledge so that the world no longer believes that their ideas about Christians are warranted, and that maybe they can go to their Christian friends for life advice after all.  Plus, if someone begins to believe that they’ve been duped by the worlds deception, maybe they will be less likely to be tricked again.
